American Liberty Bells
Meanwhile, we learned this week that our friends in the Great White North have at last been liberated from the tepid embrace of their outgoing governor, Justin Castro-Trudeau.
After nine insufferable years of rising costs, inflating loonies and speeches breeching with painfully pregnant pauses, Trudeau finally gathered the gumption on Monday to do what he does best... unconditionally praise himself while blaming others for his abject failures.
Gushed Trudeau in his teary goodbye cruel world address...
“As you all know, I’m a fighter. Every bone in my body has always told me to fight because I care deeply about Canadians, I care deeply about this country, and I will always be motivated by what is in the best interest of Canadians...
“Except,” he neglected to add, “when it comes to raising their taxes, killing their jobs, blowing their budgets out of the water and other things that don’t really effect me or my managerial class of Maserati Marxists.”
Like half a broken clock, Trudeau was at least right about one thing when he said, “We are at a critical moment in the world.”
Indeed, monsieur! From one end of the Americas to the other, the liberty bells are ringing...and they are ringing loudly!
So, where to from here?
Pierre Polymarket Poilievre
As mentioned in this space last week, the online betting markets have the conservative leader, Pierre Poilievre up big in their forecast. At last glance, the punters over at Polymarket gave Poilievre a non-trivial 89% chance at winning the top job.
And if you prefer long odds and slim chances, Mr. Trudeau’s got you covered, with a 1% chance of prime ministerial resurrection...
Dear readers will recall Polymarket as one of the many online betting markets that trumped experts and “those in the know” during the 2024 US presidential election. We covered the story in a Note titled Musk X Milei. Here, a pertinent snippet:
Betting sites Polymarket and Kalshi consistently favored Trump for the win, sometimes by as much as 2-1, a veritable blowout in betting markets. Moreover, it was the “continuous flow” of decentralized information that kept the markets on track, able to respond in real time to infinitesimal fluctuations in relevant data and to price the outcome accordingly...
The fact that decentralized free markets are better able to synthesize pertinent information more accurately than pollsters, pundits and presstitutes should come as no surprise to readers of these humble Notes. Unlike the aforementioned propagandists (on both sides), free markets also screen for political bias by recognizing a simple, universal fact: If there’s one thing private individuals hate more than seeing their political opponents elected to public office, it’s losing money.
Of course, we cannot say for certain that Mr. Poilievre will be better than Mr. Trudeau, but it would take such a superhuman display of weakness to be worse, we’re happy to take those odds.
Stay tuned for more Notes From the End of the World...
Cheers,
Joel Bowman

Yes Joel, the collapse of the globalist gang is very strange indeed. I think the leftist have been way to quiet and even agreeing with this new world, anti-globalization movement. I just find it strange that the normal outspoken, demented, psychotic progressive has all of the sudden become silent, and as we’ve seen with Bezo and Zuckerberg, even agreeing with Trump. Very strange indeed. Just wondering what plans these most corrupt people have waiting In the shadows 🤔. In the meantime, Happy New Year to all and much hope and best wishes to all 🙏
So...does this mean that Trudeau will not be the Governor of the 51st state of the US?
