“Well, it’s time Ursula took matters into her own tentacles!”
~ Ursula the Sea Witch, from Disney’s The Little Mermaid
Joel Bowman with today’s Note From the End of the World: Buenos Aires, Argentina...
When everyone thinks alike, goes the old saying, nobody is thinking at all.
Skeptical citizens were treated to yet more examples of such vapid groupthink over the past week as “the establishment blob” reflexively coagulated around painfully scripted media messaging.
The first example came in the form of a goose-stepping response to the communication breakdown in the Oval Office last Friday, when Presidents Trump and Zelensky (and Vice President Vance) duked it out for all the world to see.
The upshot of that fracas was to cast further doubt on America’s commitment to the North Atlantic Treaty Organization (NATO), a relationship so one-sided that even Will Smith must have been tempted to call “cuck!”
We shared a breakdown of who does the chores around NATO house last week. Here it is again...
A Message From Your Uniparty
No sooner had the jilted Zelensky returned to The Continent’s soft embrace when Eurocrats began firing off coordinated messages of support, praising Zelensky’s “dignity” and encouraging him to be “strong, brave and fearless,” lest the opportunity to further prolong the needless and tragic war slip through their blood-stained talons.
Identical posts issued forth simultaneously from the President of the European Parliament Roberta Metsola, President of the European Commission Ursula von der Leyen, European Commissioner for Trade Valdis Dombrovskis, European Parliament member Manfred Weber, and European Council President António Costa.
Behold, (part of) the copy ‘n’ paste job, courtesy of the Uniparty Press Corpse. (Note the time stamps...)
“Freedom is Slavery”
“You are never alone, Mr. President,” The Blob assured their mightless marionette. “We will continue working with you for a just and lasting peace.”
And what do you know, dear reader? While feigning dignity and promising peace, those very same backroom “leaders” were all the while hiding behind uni-tweets and planning for war.
“We are in an era of rearmament,” declared Ursula the Sea Witch earlier this week, announcing an unprecedented increase in military spending from EU member states as part of a ReArm Europe plan. “This is a moment for Europe. And we are ready to step up.”
Just so we’re clear, the world is watching a German politician advocate for massive military build-up in order to press east, across eastern Europe, to attack Russia. If only we had an historical precedent for such an ill-advised move. Hmm...
Meanwhile, in a déjà vu callback to more recent war crimes, UK Prime Minister Keir Starmer has advocated for a “coalition of the willing” to provide arms for the Ukraine, saying he (read: British taxpayers and hapless foot soldiers) are ready to commit “boots on the ground, and planes in the air.”
Here’s USAID-funded bullhorn BBC:
About 20 countries could join Ukraine coalition, UK says
About 20 countries are interested in joining a "coalition of the willing" to help Ukraine, according to UK officials.
It is not thought every one of the countries, which are largely from Europe and the Commonwealth, would necessarily send troops but some could provide other support.
The plan, spearheaded by the UK and France, was set out by Prime Minister Sir Keir Starmer at this weekend's summit of 18 European and Canadian leaders...
Again, if only we had an historical precedent to help contextualize such bellicose rhetoric. It’s almost as though the war sloganeering hatched from the haunted braincase of Dick Cheney himself...
Unarmed Sock Puppets
Still, while the dogs of war were foaming at the maw over on The Continent, skeptical citizens this side of the Atlantic were being given their own mushroom treatment. (That is, kept in the dark and fed... ahem... fertilizer.)
In what some establishment apologists are calling a “ten sigma event,” twenty-two democratic senators miraculously posted the exact same message to their social media profiles moments ahead of President Donald Trump's joint address to Congress Tuesday night.
See the remarkable coincidence for yourself, here…
The unthinking machine cogs even appeared to mimic identical mic technique, almost as if the casual, one-handed style was approved by a focus group, which deemed it “more relatable” for we passive, non mic-holding plebs on the other side of the magic camera screen, way out here in Dumbasslandia.
Suspicions that the media consultancy package was a bundle deal were confirmed a few hours later, when the same talking heads were caught reading from the identical script once again. (Had they all been sent the same microphones? And by whom?)
At this point, a skeptical reader may be tempted to wonder who is ventriloquizing our “leaders” statements. From geopolitical strategy in Europe to domestic messaging at home, it appears that “originality” and “authenticity” are out of favor with the shadowy powers that be.
Perhaps the puppet masters don’t think you’ll notice that the establishment politicians are really just empty suits. That, or they simply don’t care.
Either way, one is left to wonder, who watches the watchers? Who controls the controllers? Who stands behind the scenes, far from the spotlight, scripting what we see and hear?
As the Roman politician and prosecutor, Lucius Cassius, was heard to say, “cui bono?”
Stay tuned for more Notes From the End of the World...

Dude. Dumbasslandia had me rolling!! I’m definitely stealing that one. 😂
Twenty two identical video clips, except for the faces, posted within minutes of each other? Looks like someone has a new (to them) AI tool and thinks this is a good way to sway opinions. I suspect they may also be right, but not perhaps in the way they were hoping.
