Lovely scene Joel Thanks Spoilt (for me) by seeing the horrendous Chem trails (geo-engineering ) left up there in that lovely blue sky just like they are here in freezing cold England Ah well Those who do these things will soon be repaid by the One who created the sun that they are trying to blot out ...

I suspect it won’t be long before many of the newly independent will find out it’s a hard life without the support of “other people’s money “.

One "boots on the ground" eyewitness report from a generally trusted and reliable source is worth more than all the hand-wringing commentary from prejudiced writers who have probably never even been to Argentina.

Robert Heinlein, noted science fiction author, once noted that in the course of his life he had had the good or bad fortune to be on the scene seven times when events happened that made national news. He noted that in zero of the seven occasions did his perception of the events come even close to what was reported. Glad to hear that things seem to be OK for the moment in Argentina as well!

Nice insights on Heinline. Thanks! I saw this from an unsent letter of his...

“As for libertarian, I've been one all my life, a radical one. You might use the term 'philosophical anarchist' or 'autarchist' about me, but 'libertarian' is easier to define and fits well enough."

Indeed! His main characters were always competent, capable, and very touchy about bureaucrats trying to boss them around. I see great irony that Lazarus Long, the Senior member of the Howard Families, was given the birth name of Woodrow Wilson Smith. Apparently, for reasons that are less clear to us now, Heinlein thought very highly of President Wilson, the Fed and the income tax notwithstanding.

I'm surprised that Heinlein would be fond of Wilson, probably the most autocratic not to mention racist president in our history, at least so far. I read many of Heinlein's books as a kid. It probably planted a seed that finally took root in the early 1990's.

Lovely scene. I think your reports will be very interesting. This is happening while the EU, WEF and Biden/deep state want to control the world, as does Xi. It will be very interesting to see how Austrian thinking will operate in the path of the epitome of socialist "construction". How will this society react? It will also be interesting to see how America will react to Argentina's moves.

From the Biden administration: We look forward to increased use of green energy, more wind turbines and solar panels, to reduce greenhouse gases. We would also like to see more transgender people hold public office.

Aw, I say give the guy a chance. He’s got a set on himself no one else dared to grow.

And yet, he's already starting to backslide from some his most anarchic promises, like closing the Central Bank, which probably makes sense; these things need some planning. That being said, if he turns out to be a run of the mill Cato/Reason type of libertarian it will be a very good thing.

Nice camera work, BTW.

Hmm...I remain sanguine. Until two days ago he retained that shutting central bank “non-negotiable.” Time will tell, of course, but optimism has become very contagious here of late. Cheers!

I wouldn't call it a backslide. Before closing the central bank, they need to clean up a big mess related to the "Leliqs" short term notes issued by the central bank. If they don't take care of them before closing the central bank, dollarizing, we will have hyperinflation and many more people in poverty. So closing the central bank and dollarizing (in reality allowing free competition of currencies, but Argentines will choose the dollar) are still non-negociable, but he still needs to face reality and take care of some things before.

Great video! And that’s so hopeful for Argentina! I spent 4 months there about 25 years ago (I helped to start up Alumbrera - copper mine in the Catamarca region). I loved Argentina! I’d get stopped behind horse drawn sugar cane carts near Tucamen. We’s drive out to ????middle of nowhere near the mine??? to eat weirdly cut chicken and homemade empanadas. I got spit on my a wiley alpaca once while on descansa on the way to Mendosa. At least back then, the bus system was amazing!!! We bussed from Buenos Aires to Iguazu Falls then to Porto Valdez to see the penguin migration. All for like $100 pesos (I was there when they had just reset their peso to match the US dollar). Beautiful country! Beautiful people! Vive Las Malvinas! (I learned not to say Falkland Islands!😂)

Wow! Thanks for the magical recollections. What a time to have been in Argentina. As they say down here: "This is a place you can leave for two weeks and return to find everything different... or leave for twenty years, then return to find everything the same."

I knew there was a generational fear of losing everything overnight the first time I innocently walked into the ring of armed guards next to one of the control rooms. They formed a circle around the group of guys being paid in cash for their weeks labor. All Argentines were paid in cash only because that’s the only way they’d agreed to work. They all had vivid memories of watching money in the banks become literally worthless overnight.

It's simply Outstanding that the "people" of Argentina elected Javier Milei!!!

By an overwhelming margin!

Keep us apprised of Mr Milei’s plan of action to turn the Argentine ship around.

How do you attack a 200% dragon?

How do you bring the old elite into a new paradigm?

His plan is of great interest since the USA has similar problems to solve.
