Georgia reminds me a ton of Wisconsin (my ancestral home). I can totally imagine the guys looking at a cow and saying, "you know; if that thing somehow keeps the weather out and the blood in, I bet we could rig it up to hold a lot of beer." And voila, their cousins in Georgia have been doing it for a long, long time.
My pleasure. Georgia has always seemed like an interesting ex-pat location, in part because it reminds me so much of "home." So it was fun to see that I could really relate to your story.
Georgia would not work for our family, though; it sounds way to "boyly" (as opposed to "girly"). And my wife hates cigarette smoke and car exhaust.
But I loved your telling of the feast story. Thanks for sharing.
I hope that you all are relishing this time in your travels. It doesn't always have to be pleasant and still be a very rich experience.

This one gave the whole family a chuckle. Thank you!

Your blog is much appreciated.
Absolutely wise and delightful. You would make a great Tamada.
May it always be so in Colchia. (there is a namesake of the modern name that might be a double entendre)
