Joel, another wonderful missive. You point out things that I would never notice otherwise, as in the editorial. Thanks for broadening my understanding and knowledge. Stay independent so you don’t end up like the media in the chart. God bless!

Sorry Joel, I had to forward this essay to a disparate group of friends who include die-hard Trumpers & deep staters. What interesting times, right? I have an excuse. Au moment je suis en train de boire ¨La Fin Du Monde,¨ ma bière prépèrée du Canada 🇨🇦.

We Canadians have bee experienced the final countdown to la fin du monde for years now, thanks to the trust fund brat pretending to be Prime Minister for the past decade. His reign is drawing to a close but his destructive legacy will, it is rightly feared, continue to drag the country further into the morass.

It was interesting how quickly Señor Trudeau headed south to kiss Trump’s ring. What do you think that was about?

As all ways a pleasure! Zebra...spots or stripes?

The quote I read had him say “spots.”

Joel, What possessed you to move to Argentina 15 years ago? Are you British? What’s your background and what prompted you to move and from where.

Not trying to get too personal but I do enjoy your writing and wit and wonder where it came from. Thanks,

John T

Hmm... perhaps some fodder for future Notes. Cheers!

I shouldn't speak for Joel, but I think he moved there, as most foreigners do, for the low cost of living. Third world socialist shitholes need as much foreign money as they can get, so they welcome them.

P.S. I should add that Argentina is not really a third world shithole like, say, Venezuela or Cuba. Argentina has infrastructure, and they seem to keep it up.

Knowing gore he probably said spots. And mixed zebra and leopard up. Thank goodness we didn’t have to endure him as a president!

Wonder if the Guardian recognizes the signal and impact of Luis Juez moving from Pro to Libertad.

I'm surprised no one has coupled Milei's association with Trump as IMF related. Since the Biden administration made the possibility of an IMF loan dependent on removing the chain from the motosierra, what else could he do?

The USA would be very fortunate indeed if Trump, in this second term, moves notably towards Milei's prescriptions... America cannot thrive until DC is in sharp decline.

Thanks Joel for this excellent analysis of the differences between these two men.

Joel, I think the key to change is having the people behind you, because you are talking honestly and sincerely to them, about your defined plans, and how it will affect them. Pres. Milei did just that. Pres. Trump has had his people behind him as they jumped off a cliff and into jail after Jan.6th. If he plays games like that in the future, people will realize its all about his ego and not about their needs.

I am a little late to this party, but who reads the guardian and more importantly, why??

I always find a dip into the pages of the Guardian gives me a good laugh to fortify me for the day ahead. Bless them, they take the biscuit for delusional thinking.

They are currently squirming like stuck pigs trying to justify the antics of Captain Cardboard and his lot in parliament.

As always pulling no punches. I love it!

Read the Guardian piece the day after yours. As a UK resident I was very disheartened and disillusioned by it. How can you fix a problem if you totally misunderstand it? With the masses propagandised into thinking Millie is a catastrophe, where is the UK headed?

Those “journalists” are using trickery in the way the data is portrayed to make success seem like failure. Look how they compare the inflation data before and after. Disgusting. Call them out.
