Yes Joel, we live in such a blessed time in history, and too many just don’t understand it. We are the relatives of those who were strong, and survived through many generations of natural and man made disasters. I’m sure another world cleansing is going to happen, but let’s enjoy the peace we were gifted, while it lasts 😊
How ironic they use carbon dioxide (presumably a byproduct of all the geothermal activity) to boost vegetation growth. Please don't tell John Kerry. He'd be apoplectic. Or try to stop it (after flying there in a private plane.)
I asked a doctor: "How did people live before hospitals and penicillin?" He shot back, the lucky ones normally short, painful lives. If they were wealthy they might make it past 40.
Doctoring when I was young consisted of waiting for the MD to arrive at our front door, or running to his office holding my broken limb.
I agree modern medicine is a strictly for profit business. After collapsing at a local restaurant waking in the hospital connected to a million dollars worth of electronics. The doctor leaned forward with bad news I had AF, would be have to retire due to the blood thinners I be on for the rest of my life. Lying in bed I felt ok, so why couldn't I walk out and go home? That's what I did, and later learned AF is a mineral deficiency in particular one is lacking in potassium and magnesium. The 4 bags of Ringers had cured me, there was no mention I was dehydrated which brought on the AF. Ringer's is sodium, potassium the cure for AF, adding magnesium you'll never have another attack.
A visit to my primary care physician showed no AF. I asked if they wanted to know the miracle cure to AF and probably half the other heart conditions? The Doctor shot back "no" and sent me on my way.
Western 'medicine' is good for trauma; like getting shot by a cop, car accidents, and the like. But for degenerative diseases, run, because they will kill you. At least your doctor was honest; he told you he didn't care. It's so easy to avoid disease, just eat lots of vegetables, no or very little animal foods, and stay away from allopathic doctors. (I have posted the '8 Doctors before, so won't repeat it here.)
About that "Black Death"... Just by coincidence (of course, really the opposite), it coincided with the Little Ice Age (look it up, there's a wikipedia entry on it). Who could have predicted that colder weather, and less sunlight, which leads to less food, would lead to disease and death? Of course, allopathic medicine blames everything on a 'germ,' which they rather conveniently have the "cure" for. The connection was covered in part in What Really Makes You Ill? by Dawn Lester & David Parker. See also here: https://search.brave.com/search?q=black+death+or+little+ice+age. There is also the Rosenau experiments during the so-called Spanish Flu epidemic of 1918, where he tried to give test subjects Spanish Flu, eventually injecting the snot and pus into the bloodstream of prisoners. None of the test subjects got so much as a sniffle. Everyone knows that germs cause disease, and Rosenau himself was baffled. Other similar experiments have been conducted since then, with equally disastrous results - for "germ theory." https://www.ggarchives.com/Influenza/TheRosenauExperiment-1918-1919.html
Thank you Joel for an enthralling account of your visit to Iceland. I was left hopelessly captivated by your clever use of the English language as would have been the Gaelic serfs under their Norse overlords.
Both “themselves” and “themself” can be used with the singular they. “Themselves” tends to be more widely accepted, especially for style guides, but “themself” has become more common in the English language.

What do you call 100 doctors at the bottom of the ocean?
A good start.
Allopathic medicine has killed more people than probably all the wars in the 20th century.

Thomas Hobbes answered that too.

It's still true today, just not quite as bad as it was then.

I love your video! Thank you.

I've enjoyed your articles including discriptions & videos of Buenos Aires. Any area you would recommend to stay for 1st timer for a few days?
Themself?

May be. But the subject was plural.
Don't hold your breath!😊
