Ah yes..marvellous isn't it? So good to celebrate the idea of women as possessions and to judge one's wealth by the number acquired. I suppose one should be grateful at least that they are considered to be of high value?🤔😂

Thanks for your comment, Alice. As I hope was clear, my own values on the matter you raised are nothing at all aligned with those of the Massai... or any culture indeed that deems other people as property. The story was one of underlining vast differences, not similarities. Just because one observes something happening in the world, doesn't mean one agrees with it.

But just in case it needs to be said: I don't consider people property. Hope that clears up any misunderstanding...

Thank you for taking the time to respond. I was not under the impression that you consider people property. Perhaps my comment was made due to the context of the piece which was Valentine's day. I too have great interest and respect for customs and culture of others and understand your point about differences.
