The speech was as though lifted straight from Atlas Shrugged.

Couldn't help thinking the same thing. I wonder how many people in the room realized the significance of what was happening...

Except Atlas Shrugged is a snooze fest that could have easily been around 300 pages shorter. Did anyone actually read all 27 pages of Francisco's speech? Hardly inspiring rhetoric although the premise was sound.

I also enjoy the iirony that the denizens of Galt's Gulch were almost indistinguishable from their enemy, rather like the pigs in Animal Farm.

The same in that they all lived in fantasy land and the gulch was a collective of sorts. The fantasies were different though.

The Fountainhead was more concise.

Yep. It seems logical and observable fact that any authoritarian system, whether socialist or capitalist

, end with very similar structures and behaviours. Unfortunately both systems tend towards authoritarianism.

In my opinion, this is because capitalism is usually served with social conservatism and socialism doesn't work without paternalism. Both involve telling others what to do. I've often said I don't have a party to vote for (in the UK) because I'm a fiscal capitalist and social libertarian. If we had a Millei here I'd be "voting harder".

Well, I think that pretty much answers my question as to whether he was a stooge or a fraud. This is an exciting chapter to witness. God Speed Milei.

I'm in for the "long game" and we will see the ultimate outcome, not for the politicians of that land, but of the "regular indigenous peoples." If I am wrong I will post a retraction. That is what objective people do.

Yeah I agree. My concern is not so much his "intentions," but rather his associations and their influences. He has now opened the country to "foreign buyers," and history evidences this to be a "indicator" that when that happens then usually the country is "blown out." Gutted. Then the poor are left to scrounge around like roaches. We'll see.

So far he has stuck to the "no hay plata" statement and has forced the government to spend only what they take in taxes etc. In terms of the greater history of governments reigning in their spending, this is a first and that is a remarkable thing.

Talk about bearding the lion in its den! I hope his plans for turning things around in Argentina don't require much in the way of cooperation from the leaders and bankers who sponsor the WEF, because, even more than before, the knives will be out.

This was a speech to inspire the masses, but unfortunately, the controllers of the media will do their best to ensure that it is never heard. A link to the full text of the speech that we could forward to others, would be most welcome.

Thank you! I read it in full, and sent the link to several family and friends. I recommend that others do likewise. I also copied the full text to my hard drive, in case this page gets taken down.

There is too much plaque in the system, a plaque that has formed over the last 80-some years of institutions designed by the various rotating casts of overlords, all with the aim of making sure the people that are not the overlords understand who their rulers are. This period overlaps the fake money era, the era of creditism, when the printing press can make you believe that its output is real.

I watched the whole speech, I was spellbound listening to every word. Even posted a link on my Facebook page. It reminded me a lot of Bill Bonners writings as well as Atlas Shrugged.

Maybe it is the start of a new era, let's hope so.

Combine your article on Milei with Anya’s post on how Lysistrata made peace between Sparta and Athens by getting the women to refuse to have sex with the warriors until peace was made and fast forward to today and see what happens. It’s been said that testosterone is the most powers force know to man so use it against the narcissistic men by denying them sex and watch them come begging for honesty, reason, and Justice!

Problem: Milei will need support from some of those standing in the way.

Solution: He needs to learn how to gather figs from thistles.

Let’s hope he can do it.
