A possible new meaning for "America first": Putting the citizenry ahead of the political class. But if the political class wants to be first, let the gallows be at the end of their march.
How is it that you give KH credence for anything she says?? She is the cabal's puppet. She has as much to do with what she says as I do. The cabal is spending millions, maybe billions, for focus groups to zero in on what must be preached through their anointed one to hypnotize the media ( which they control) consumers into voting for it. And the message will change on a dime when or if necessary. This is not about policy; it is about training Pavlov's dog. The cabal will promise to cut all prole spending AND give them copious amounts of stimmy $$. When elected, this will give the cabal what they want most. Continued access to the money printer! ( from which they profit immensely and from which they buy their power). They only need to keep it close. They will take care of the rest during the counting process. Don't forget to vote!
The fakery and stupidity apparent in our so-called democratic election are just breathtaking. There's a whole bunch of readers of the NYT who think they are well-educated, sophisticated, and au courant and have not the slightes suspicion that they are existing within a fake info bubble. The fakery and decadence are, however, becoming more blatant all the time and "fooling all the people all the time" is becoming increasingly dicey.
Yeah, I subscribe to the NYT just to see what these morons are up to. The comment section reveals exactly what you said about the "fake info bubble". They believe everything written by the propagandists in the media and think anyone who disagrees with them are uneducated, deplorable people out of touch when we present facts. They live in a mental basement.
Must see movie, if only for the first 10 minutes. Interestingly enough, but not surprisingly, the movie has been used, even by the filmakers, to describe Trump and the "deplorables" who like him.
Why is it so hard to recognize that politician’s actions differ from their words? Maybe people just don’t care if the “right” initial follows their names.
Joel, what are the democrats enthused about.Oh, it must be 10,000 new neighbors coming across the border every day, that we financially support, when the working and retired middle class can't pay their own bills. Can't fix STUPID !
But what does the future in America (and worldwide?) look like after increasing numbers and proportions of young people coming of age after state-run indoctrination or brainwashing, compounded now across three generations?
Thought you laid it on a bit thick against Ms Harris considering the opportunistic zaniness of Mr Trump. The frying pan or the fire, that is the question! Equal opportunity harm.
I'm not sure it's equal. Sure, they're both terrible choices, but at least Trump plans to open the oil spigots. The price of oil defines what the price of everything else is. Neither candidate will make america great again (she was never that great to begin with), but in choosing between the two, it's not even close.
When dealing with the dim witted don, it is best to believe nothing he says, to assure yourself that you have absolutely no expectation that there will be a positive result, EVER!
I am continually amazed at the sheer ignorance to look over the record profits of corporations yet blame Biden. The party who has pushed deregulation for years now all of a sudden whining. We allowed companies free rein but now we need manufacturing back which has happened extensively the past 3 years. How about better wages? Where is the great health plan? All I see is complaining but no plans. No care for fellow humans in this country
Yes, I got it years ago and it is the best book/pamphlet I have ever read on economics and evil governments. He was a brilliant man who died much too young. I would recommend it to everybody on BPR that hasn't read it.

Hear, hear!
What’s a citizen? Do you mean a subject?

They are adept at not being fooled by facts.

Just watch the old movie, "Idiocracy". The movie explains exactly what is happening.

Hilarious Joel !
But you can't totally blame Kamala. She had to come up with some idea related to economics.

We use too much. Really it is about plastic. Do better

Small business bankruptcies are up 61% under her and Bidenomics. Seriously, how are you so out of touch?! https://shorturl.at/EEccf

"The Law" by Frederic Bastiat is one of the greatest books on freedom ever written. I applaud Joel for referencing it.
