Excellent Joel. These careful journalists might want to put eyes on this piece of wisdom below... when might they come for them... tyrants accept no boundaries.

"First they came for the socialists, and I did not speak out—because I was not a socialist.

Then they came for the trade unionists, and I did not speak out—because I was not a trade unionist.

Then they came for the Jews, and I did not speak out—because I was not a Jew.

Then they came for me—and there was no one left to speak for me."

—Martin Niemöller

I would really like to be a fly on the wall listening to the authors of this article as they planned and wrote it, in order to better discern if they are truly aware of their hypocrisy or if they have sunk to such a level of non-self-reflection that they simply take assignments such as this one and run with the approved narrative, without any thought of Assange et al.

I find it hard to believe that they could be aware of their duplicity and still look in the mirror or sleep at night, but it is even harder to believe that they are really that un-self-reflective. I guess a third possibility is that this was really written by an AI programmed by those deep in the Western narrative, and they simply allowed their names to be placed as the authors. It all boggles my mind.

Thank you for mentioning the unmentioned (Julian Assange, Pablo Gonzales Yagüe, and Gonzalo Lira). Without freedom of speech or the press, democracy no longer exists. And thank you for clarifying the present state of affairs in the Ukraine. It is truly a thought provoking quote from Assange, that truth can lead to peace... That is why he is silenced.

Brilliant expose of rank hypocrisy. As a Brit I am ashamed of HM Government’s treatment of Julian Assange. We regularly hear about plucky bighty’s stand for democracy but it’s increasingly clear that’s only when it suits ….

How there can be such support for Ukraine to join the EU and NATO is beyond me. It feels like missionaries hoping that cannibals will give up eating people if only they see the light of Truth.

Even suggesting to most people that the Ukraine war may well suit both Russia and the USA (never waste a good crisis) leads to "interesting" reactions as nobody wants to believe our leaders coukd stoop so low.

But if you follow the money, who gains? It's not beyond possibility, and fits with human nature, that the Military Industrial Complex pushes NATO towards Russias borders to provoke a military reaction. The calculation would be that Russia invades Ukaraine (succesfukly), the West rearms to respond to the threat, lots of money is diverted from the taxpayer to the MIC and Putin consolidates his home support.

What a bonus that Ukraine actually repels the initial attack so now not only do the MIC get to sell new armaments to protect us, but they can also get rid of vast swathes of semi obsolete material that also needs replaced while testing some newer kit.

Meanwhile Putin increases his strong man act at home, continues to sell commodities to everyone who wants them and can eliminate rivals with impunity.

I'm not saying it happened that way, but is it not more likely than any alternative?

Too true, Craig. A defense contractor communiqué masquerading as a newspaper. For shame.

The most disgusting point is that all these nations that are eliminating freedom of the press are supposedly friendly nations toward the US. And the US is now under the control of a quasi-dictator who wants to decertify the press, put his political rival in prison for life, decertify the freedom of speech, and act like a dictator in many more ways than one.

How did we step so far backwards?

This explanation of the mess we are in now may be another rabbit hole, but it makes too much sense to dismiss and ignore. It also explains much of the government corruption.

It should be of particular interest for those in the so called 'British Commonwealth' or 5 eyes.

I was very saddened while reading your April 3, 2024 post to learn that Gonzalo Lira had passed away while imprisoned in a Ukrainian prison cell. I remember fondly times that I spent with him in earlier(happier) days. His intellect and spirit were simultaneously enlightening and infectious. He will be greatly missed by me and I suspect anyone else who knew him shared his views about the world. My heart aches for his family. RIP Gonzalo.

Powerful stuff Joel. Thank you. The Australian government's pathetic attempts at seeking justice for this journalist, an Australian citizen who exposed the wrongdoings of his country's allies is a national shame. Britain is complicit in this miscarriage of justice as is the MSM in Australia.

Had the Australian media expressed the same outrage as they did for an Australian journalist imprisoned in China he would be back in the country of his birth.

Cheers, Andrew. And yes, the Australian gov have been particularly limp on this issue, as with many others. I'm heading "home" to Oz for the first time in 6 years shortly. Will be interesting to see if/how the place has changed...

I fear you may be right, Tony. I watched the Canberra Leviathan twist and snarl from afar during the covid years. Some pretty shameful stuff... but also some brave folk resisting outright tyranny, too. Speaking with other expat Aussies abroad, they couldn't believe what they were seeing, looking from the outside in. Looking forward to sharing some Notes from the frontlines...

Another brilliant synopsis Joel! Keep fighting. We all need to think beyond the propaganda machines and ask ourselves why are they so determined to silence the counter culture.

Time for serious rebellion.

The only way out is to devise our own independent monetary system. The big question,of course, is how? Our Nation’s profligate ways were all made possible in 1913, with the creation of the Federal Reserve Bank on that fateful “banker’s retreat” on Jekyll Island.

Next best things... like, comment and share our work (especially with those likely to disagree - many potential compeers remain, through no great fault of their own, mired in the mainstream muck. Help them out...) Cheers!
