Yes Joel, these truths bring so much hope for the future of America, which when detached from the extremely corrupt democratic cult, will have the potential to cleanse the entire West of the leftist/globalist destruction we have all been witness to. Thanks Joel for another great article. Unfortunately it stopped!!!π«I need your next article right away because Iβm dying to hear what the on the ground reactions are to his chainsaw. I donβt trust the media so you being on the ground there is the best reporting of the ramifications from his cutting. Canβt wait for your next piece.
Unfortunately it will be very hard for President Trump to take down our bureaucracy (deep state) here because so many congress people are on the dole from lobbyists. Unless the American people make their voices heard to congress for real change there will be some deregulation and some cuts but the pain will be so intense to the average citizen it wonβt continue because the reps will cave to the pressure. I believe Trump wants what is best and not worrying about getting reelected will help him make tough decisions but some rinos will try to wait him out. That is why the people need to make sure that their reps hear them.
As a retired military man who has a government pension and social security I realize that government cuts may hurt me but I am willing to take the short term pain if it means long term gain for the country I fought for.
And to Robin who commented about downsizing or eliminating the military be careful what you ask for as it has been tried before and the world suffered for not having a strong American force. We have gotten too woke and need drastic changes in the military now and not the political wussies we have now at the top. Pete will be a welcomed change. And yes we can reduce military spending on many defense things but not on the soldiers and sailors who serve so selflessly.
If Mr. Trump is meticulous about what he will cut, why it is necessary, how it will benefit America, and what sacrifices Americans will need to make to reclaim their honor and freedom and keep them abreast of how and when it is working, the more real and less political he makes it, he will succeed.
America has spent more for our welfare system each year than our military budget. This past year half of our military budget was spent taking care of illegal immigrationβs disaster. Two out of these three are wasted resources that contribute nothing to our country yet feed the democratic cult. America needs a strong military much more than millions of useless democrats, so enough whining about something you donβt understandβ¦.
Joel, I like to be optimistic that "The Great Political Experiment Of Our Age" could happen here in the U.S. of A. Trump will do some positive things, makes some things better and some worse, but he won't "Drain The Swamp". his ego will not allow him to do the job he was elected to and represent the working class people of this country. I hope I am wrong about him, and will admit it if I am wrong. Thanks.
Witnessing the diminution of government is always a great thing to behold!
Years ago, I remember another humble scribe that said he would not be willing to take the job as President because the government stood in the way of freedom, and that he would not be able to change it in a single term in office. He proposed eliminating every department or federal agency that began with a letter.
I think that was the greatest idea imaginable, but he knew what the internal resistance to that idea would be even more extreme. But somehow, I think Sr Milei must have read that proposal and thought it would be a good challenge to undertake. The benefit he has is that he's working with a smaller government, in terms of the number of people. But it may be larger in its proportion of the national economy.
I hate to be the Debbie Downer here, but the reforms won't last. They can't, since they are not based on God's promises, but only human effort, which is like "ropes of sand." Since we are living in the end times, any reforms made will last far less than one generation. Most people will be satisfied with that, though. 2Kings 20: 12-19 If you'd like to know more about this principle, check out The Two Covenants: https://discourseonagape.org/booklets/

Always a great pleasure. Let's try to get this trend into high gear.

Perhaps Trump, Mus
k and Ramaswamy could take their chainsaws to the USA Military and downsize if not eliminate it. Eisenhower would smile in his grave.

Yep , defend Your borders. From the enemy. But to bad the enemy lives within the borders.
Eliminate our military??? Surely you jest. What an absolutely ridiculous proposal.
Thank you always for your excellent writing and thoughts about our world.
