"Let's consider this with the gravity it deserves: despite our debt challenges and other pressing issues, our GDP stands at $37.36 trillion, we are a nation of 341 million people, and our land spans 3.8 million square miles. Who among us can dedicate the equivalent of 64 hours a day to addressing these challenges—safeguarding the people, upholding the Constitution, navigating a world where private and global power brokers relentlessly work 96 hrs a day to undermine our principles and stability?" At this point, our newly elected president has acknowledged all our real problems and has surrounded himself with swamp disruptors who seem dedicated to our salvation. Let's see what his motosierra looks like.? But it will not happen in our environment as quickly as we like. Give us a year.
Sometimes speed at all costs brings an over abundance of (un)intended consequences. As one example, we are still suffering the (un? Intended) consequences of Operation Warp Speed.
If Trumpenstein doesn't start any hot wars, he'll be a footnote in the minds of the historians, who pretend to write the history of the world, while doing so in such a poor manner.
And the silliness of the External Revenue Service! Doesn't Trump know that the Internal Revenue Service assesses and collects tariffs?
Perhaps I’m out of touch. Pomp & circumstance are the inverse of substance & wisdom. Emotion evaporates like ground fog with the rising Sun. Truly Panem et Circenses.
Amazing how these aholes come out of the woodwork to "save the day." It's man's hubris unending. And somehow I believe Trump. But he can't be worse than the incompetents we just removed from office, dedicated to take away our freedoms for their intelligence. If he just doesn't start a war and nothing else it will be a great accomplishment!
The ship of state definitely needs a course correction. This particular captain -- Trump -- strikes me as too quixotic to reduce spending in a manner that is understandable, compassionate and attainable
Joel, If President Milei's campaign slogan had been" elect me and we can wait and see in 4 years time how it all turns out", he likely wouldn't have been elected. Americans were as usual asleep at the wheel.

Yes the year ending in 2026, Jan. 20th. This will tell us whether there is proof in the pudding.
Yea fix 36T in debt which took 40 years to build we should see if can be fixed in 2 but that will be the decision point.

Enjoyable read as always - but you need to update your note at the end - I'm pretty sure you started this project last year, not this year!
Feels like yesterday… good eye!
Sounded good tho’ ;)
ditch the statist quo ✔️
Touché 🤺
Always thoughtful and helpful. Thoughtfulness, especially, is good today when we can so easily be caught up in the enthusiasms of the moment.
You may not like tomorrow with Trump in ascendency, but we sure as hell didn't like yesterday.
Interesting and well written, as always, except that I could find no meaning for or even existence of "Incomspicioutor"!
It's the name (or "handle" as the kids say) of one of the commenters. I have no idea what it means, or is supposed to mean.
Perhaps should have been capitalized.
I can’t even read it without my eyes hurting
I can’t even pronounce it.
😏🔎🙋🏻♂️🤷🏻
