Mesmerising.

How magical that that amazing piece of architecture and testimony to human creativity has survived 70 years of “no-win/no-chance” politics and Argentinian suffering.

Thanks for sharing.

Giselle is a favorite of mine. Magical indeed. Sounds like a mother well celebrated. 👍👍

Elena, it was stunning. Best performance I’ve seen since… well… the last time we saw Giselle at teatro colon. Cheers!

So exquisite. Husband and I don’t really like to travel so much, but Buenos Aires is now a place we really want to see. I want to see the Recoleta. He has traveled through Buenos Aires to Uruguay for hunting several times but alas, they were guy trips.

Joel, I am getting, scratch that, WE are getting excited about our April and May in Buenos Aires. We will go to at least one performance at Teatro Colon. Thanks. We are looking at the Palermo Chico neighborhood for our first month. Opinions sought.

There are many wonderful barrios here, but I am partial to Palermo chico/botánico. Close to “Los pulmones” (the parks of the city known as its “lungs.”) lots of lovely cafes and restaurants and very safe. Let us know when you’re inbound. We usually head north around that time, but might still be in town for a copa/cortado. Cheers!

I’m glad you think well of the area. We will likely leave the New York area around the 21st of March, so arriving in Buenos Aires then. I enjoy reading Dyson, Bill and his daughter as well.
