Beautiful scene in a lovely city. The only disappointment is that street named for Lincoln. Enjoy the travels!

understand! undoubtedly the antebellum charm is very overpowering … the moments by the sears fountain with my sister i found humbling as its dedication to its inhabitants in the day spoke of a iconic future they sensed was coming with it. Ah america, continue to live kind as best we can.

The street toward the end of the video was named for Lincoln. Seems odd in a Southern city and disappointing to a Southerner. That said, was just making a joke. Savannah is great.

Flannery O’Conner, a convoluted wonderful writer that keeps you wondering for years about what she said. Now that you mention her, you seem to write a similar story.

I do not know of Mr. O'Conner but I do relate to these wise words from him. Thank you for sharing. I will need to learn more.

Terrific screen shot. Reminded me of a Clint Eastwood movie that he made in Savannah a few years ago, Midnight in the Garden of Good and Evil. Savannah is as gorgeous as ever.

And a line from one of my neighbors, who's from Savannah: "If you're thirsty, a drink will cure it, if you're not, a drink will prevent it. Prevention is better than a cure." Southern wit. She recommends Matthew's Eatery on Bay Street and the Cotton Exchange on River Street to "prevent" your thirst and to sate your hunger. "There's no dining like dining in Savannah," she brags. Her own fried chicken backs her up. Enjoy Savannah!
